Rabbi Tzvi Weinberg

After receiving his Rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Rabbi Weinberg held a number of key leadership positions including director of the Department of Special Academic Programs at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; Emissary by the Israeli Government to the Soviet Union, director of educational activities for Moscow conservative and Chaplain of the U.S. Army base in Fort Lewis, WA. He has held pulpits at Congregation Bnai Israel in, Toms River, NJ; Tri City Jewish Center in Rock Island, IL; Congregation Bnai Jacob in Woodbridge, CT and Moriah Congregation in Deerfield, IL. Rabbi Weinberg was on the faulty of the Judaic Studies department of the David Yellin Teachers College and the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem Israel.Rabbi Weinberg received a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in Social Relations from Harvard University, a Master of Arts degree in Hebrew Literature from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America and was awarded with his doctorate in Hebrew Literature (honoris causa) from the The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.

Rabbi Weinberg was President of Congregation Ramot Zion, Jerusalem and the Harvard Club of Israel; Vice President of the Israeli Branch of the Rabbinical Assembly and is active in numerous Interfaith Dialogue and Human Rights organizations.
