This Website involves Amnesty’s work regarding various UN committees. These UN committees were established pursuant to human rights conventions. The Website offers a general introduction about each committee, provides information on the countries to be discussed at committee hearings, and contains reports that countries submitted to the committee. The Website also encourages NGOs and private individuals to become involved in the committees’ work, and suggests ways to assist the committees in their efforts.
